Struggling to focus, it tries to make out a few familiar shadows.
It is dark. Darkness is all it has ever known.
The walls seem to be coming in on it, as no light could be spared throughout the space.
It hesitates to move, as it knows not where to go.
Trapped is one word to describe how it feels.
Confined is another.
In the midst of all this darkness, it can't ignore the warmth it feels.
What will tomorrow bring?
When will these shadows reveal themselves?
Uncertainty surrounds it.
A voice could be heard in the distance.
A comforting melody.
It feels safe.
Nothing else matters...
For now.
